Squared Memories
Graduation project & research into preserving photographic memories at a time when storage keeps getting more limited. Based on a principle of image compression for the purpose of 3D printing, creating memorial "totems" in place of the digital image banks we usually keep. The compression method draws on YCbCr 4:2:0 chroma subsampling, pushed to its extreme, worked in both bitmap and vector. Communication concepts for the fictional company, putting forward the preservation of physical memories over digital ones. Made at EnsAD.
